Sakrä
Sakrä was developed within a collaborative studio at the University of Cincinnati, in which three designers and one nurse were asked to reimagine the the future of home health care.
Our team took this prompt to heart, and drew from the experiences of our nursing student, Karen Collier, and her emotional experience of bringing home her child from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This led us to ask the central question: how we could make this transition home easier for both the parent and the child?
Our three part solution, Sakrä, aims to alleviate some of the fears and stressors of new parents of infants transitioning from the NICU.
