FUSE VAD Activewear System
Thesis Project
The Fuse VAD Activewear System is the only product offering among consumer grade “adaptive wear” that seamlessly integrates ventricular assist device technology into modern performance-driven activewear for women, without sacrificing functionality, fit, or personal style. The system is the first of its kind, aiming to finally give females with VADs a voice within the activewear/lifestyle space.
My capstone incorporates product design, user research, and brand development to bring an activewear system to a demographic that is currently underrepresented in the market. The resulting designs will not only fit the specific needs of an active female living with a ventricular assist device, but will hopefully inspire others to continue to promote inclusivity through innovation.
